Honeymoon Tips
Here are my favorite honeymoon tips to make sure your honeymoon is perfect.

Not everyone can afford a honeymoon, but if at all possinle, take one! It helps you recouperate from the stresses of the wedding, gives you much needed time alone to start your new life together, and provides priceless memories.
To make sure your honeymoon runs smoothly, follow the following simple rules:
1. Have a budget. This will dictate what kind of honeymoon you can take. Stay within your means and budget to alleviate any additional stresses. Keep in mind you will probably prepay the majority of your vacation, but be sure to put in plenty of spending money.
2. Discuss you each of you like to do and what your expectations are. This will be your first lesson in compromise! And you want to make sure there are things for both of you to do.
3. Pick your destination based on #1 and #2. Remember different destinations have "off seasons" that can save you money.
4. Use a travel agent. This is one of the best honeymoon tips. Find one that is use to planning honeymoons and can keep you from overlooking any part of your trip so it will all run smoothly.
5. If you are going to travel outside of the country, leave plenty of time for passports, visas and innoculations.
6. When making your reservations, let everyone know you will be on your honeymoon. Sometimes you will get added perks. Tell your travel agent to advise everyone also.
7. Keep your honeymoon private. You don't want any well meaning surprise guests. If you are having a destination wedding, plan on them coming early and leaving within 1 day of the ceremony.
8. Take more money than you think you will need. There's always something you were not aware of that you will want to do!
9. Always schedule time to do nothing at all. After all, it is your honeymoon and you will need plenty of "together" time.
10. Be considerate of your spouses wishes. You are now a "team".
Be sure to use our handy Budget Planner to see approximately what your honeymoon will cost. Taking a cruise or going to an all-inclusive resort are great ways to keep to your budget. If you go to an all-inclusive, be sure it is an adults only property.
