Most people love to travel. Getting there that can be a pain! But for some it’s more than just a pain, it can be terrifying. Regardless of where the fear comes from, there are steps you can take to lessen the pain:
First, learn what keeps the aircraft in the air and why it’s such a safe form of transportation. Learn the
basic principles of airplane flight
before your trip.
Choose an aisle seat so you don’t feel boxed in. Think positive: concentrate on your destination. Get to the airport early so you don’t feel rushed.
Once you are on the aircraft, remember the simple things, like breathing. Breathing exercises can be very calming. Bring a good book to take your mind off things. An iPod works well too. Avoid caffeine like coffee or soft drinks that may give you the jitters.
