Destination Tips

Destination tips can cover a lot of territory, no pun intended. Of course your destination will depend on what your interests are. You may want adventure travel, or nice beaches or need travel guides and reviews.

First you need to decide if you are looking for a luxury vacation, a value vacation or something in between. Do you want an "all-inclusive" or pay as you go trip? Do you want an escorted trip with a set itinerary or a self-drive loose itinerary?

Once you have arrived on a destination, remember almost all locations have their own websites and/or visitor's bureaus that you can utilize to help plan your trip.

POPULAR DESTINATIONS

DISNEYWORLD/ORLANDO:

There are several places to get excellent information for your trip to DisneyWorld! Discount Mouse EBook offers ways to go to DisneyWorld at huge discounts. There is all kinds of advice on how to get the most from your vacation while spending the least. Also try Disney Savings Guide EBook for another EBook to save money. This one allows free lifetime updates.

HAWAII:

Here's a great destination tip: Hawaii is one of the more beautiful places on earth. I think everyone should try to get there at least once. Some of the areas are over-crowded or over-touristy, but there are lovely quiet places to be found everywhere. Even though it's expensive, I would highly recommend a helicopter tour of any of the islands. It's something that will stay in your memory the rest of your life! To find other tours, some good sources are: Hawaii Active, Hawaii Discount or Hawaii Activities.

MEXICO:

This a favorite destination of mine. There are not many beaches that are better than those on the eastern side of Mexico. Powdery white and cool to the feet. From Cancun and Cozumel, down south through Puerto Morales and Playa del Carmen, and clear down to Tulum, these beaches can't be beat. And the resorts in this area are wonderful and can fit almost any budget. You can read up on all the different properties at www.funjet.com or www.applevacations.com to do your preliminary research. Also look at www.visitmexico.com for additional information.

The western coast of Mexico offers wonderful vacations also. Puerto Vallarta is an eternal favorite, along with Cabo San Lucas/San Jose del Cabo (one of the best places on earth to play golf). Acapulco is making a comeback in the vacation market and another fun place is Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo.

There are many colonial village in Mexico and lots of resort areas. I have just named the best known above.

NEW YORK CITY:

BOSTON:

Get ready for seafood! I love all the lobster and oyster specials you can find in this beautiful and fun city. To get the best information on eating, playing and sightseeing in Boston go to Discover Boston.

LAS VEGAS:

EUROPE:

There are lots of countries in Europe/Great Britain, and lots of information on the internet on each country.

Destination Tip: One of my favorite countries in Europe is Italy. I think it is one of the most beautiful and romantic, with tons of things to see and do. The food is great, most Italians are welcoming and the weather is generally excellent.

Try Travel Guide Secrets to Europe for a good insight into European vacations and also ways to save money on your trip.

If you're headed to London, you can save money by utilizing a London Pass. This pass will gain entrance to dozens of popular sites in London.
